Well, spring is in the air and if you're anything like my family, you just finished up several months of intense practice ... maybe dance or orchestra, but for the Rigg family, we just had a week of very enjoyable theater put on by our kids' school programs. I couldn't be more proud of my Seagull (The Little Mermaid, Jr.) and Aphrodite (Xanadu, Jr.) in their respective performances and thrilled that I get to capture these little wins for them to look back on and celebrate.
Last month, I won a Reportage Family Award for the above photo. It's a pretty special photo to me - of my oldest daughter (the aforementioned Aphrodite) when she was about 4 years old. She was just learning to write and still not quite getting all the letters right, but the gist is there. These photos of my children are one of the reasons that I started offering documentary family sessions to my clients. Of course, I love the smiling look-in-the-camera-say-cheese photos too, but I adore the quiet moments in a typical day that I was able to capture of my own kids - these are the memories that stick with me. If these types of photos speak to you too, I'd love to document your quiet (and rowdy) family moments too (no judgement here - I love it all!).
Signing off for now! Thanks for allowing me to pop into your inbox this month. Keep an eye out for future news and offerings. -Natasha

It's that time of year again! Hi friends,I can't believe summer is already over - it went by far too quickly for me and my family! But, I'm hoping we'll all be able to pull out some sweaters this fall and dare I say, tramp through some snow this winter? Lots of it! Fingers crossed! I had a great group of students this summer for my photography workshop - we learned a ton and they got to have some fun practicing outside and in the studio.
